Dark Mode for Ply Web and Mobile Application
We’d like to request the option to enable Dark Mode in Ply, both in the web browser and the mobile application. What We're Requesting: A toggle or setting within Ply that allows users to switch between Light Mode and Dark Mode across all platforms - mirroring what many modern SaaS platforms offer today. Ideally, this could also respect system-wide preferences, automatically adapting to the user's device settings. Why This Would Be Beneficial: For users working long hours, especially in low-light environments or at night, dark mode greatly reduces eye fatigue. This is especially helpful when reviewing long catalogs, reports, or switching between job details throughout the day. Enhanced Accessibility Dark mode can provide improved contrast and readability for users with visual impairments or light sensitivity, making Ply more inclusive. Battery Efficiency on Mobile Devices Dark mode can reduce battery usage on OLED mobile screens - an important quality-of-life improvement for techs and admins who rely heavily on mobile usage in the field. Consistency Across Tools Many of our other software tools and systems offer dark mode, so switching between them and Ply feels disjointed without it. Adding dark mode would bring Ply in line with current UX standards and expectations. Suggested Implementation Ideas: Allow users to toggle dark mode in user preferences/settings. Optionally, support auto-detection of system theme settings (light/dark). Include support for both web and mobile versions of the app. We believe this feature would significantly enhance user experience for a wide range of Ply users, from field techs using the mobile app at night to admins working across multiple tools during long days.

Ability to Differentiate "Assistant" from "Technician" Role in Multi-Tech Material Sourcing
Currently, using the "Shared truck" sourcing strategy for multi-tech jobs requires every person assigned to the job, including assistants/helpers who are not the primary technician, to be set up as a full technician user with access to the shared truck location. This causes two problems: Assistants are treated as equal participants in the sourcing logic (tiebreaker rules, fallback behavior), even though they aren't the ones the sourcing decision should be based on. Because multiple people (tech + assistant(s)) are tied to the same shared truck, the Activity log records deductions as generic "general activity" against the location, with no way to attribute the action to the actual technician versus the assistant. Requested behavior: Introduce a distinct "Assistant" role (or a role flag), separate from "Technician," that can still be linked to a job/truck for visibility and access purposes, but is excluded from multi-tech sourcing logic entirely — it should not count as an additional assigned technician for "First technician's location," and should not be treated as a shared-truck participant for "Shared truck" sourcing or its tiebreaker/fallback rules. Why this matters: This would eliminate the root cause of non-attributable "general activity" entries under Shared truck, and would make sourcing logic more accurate for businesses that regularly staff jobs with a lead technician plus one or more assistants.

Multi-Tech Sourcing Strategy: "Last Technician on Job" (Completion-Based Sync)
Currently, the "First technician's location" strategy under Material sourcing for multi tech jobs always sources materials from whichever technician appears first in the job's assignment list in the FSM (ServiceTitan), regardless of who actually performed or completed the work. This causes incorrect inventory attribution when the first-listed tech isn't the one who did the job, requiring manual correction after the fact. Requested behavior: Add a new sourcing strategy option, "Last technician on job," that sources materials from the technician marked as completing/closing the job at the time the job syncs to Ply, rather than from the first technician in the assignment list. This would tie material deduction to the job-completion event (and its associated actor) rather than to static job assignment order. Fallback logic: Should follow the same pattern as existing strategies, if the completing technician has no truck/location configured, fall back to the account's default sync location.

Favorites/Quick-Select for Frequently Used Materials (Technician View)
Add a "Favorites" or "Quick-Select" feature that lets technicians mark specific materials as frequently used, so they can quickly find and add them when creating a Field Request or assigning materials to a job, without scrolling or searching through the full catalog. Current behavior: Technicians must search or scroll through the entire material catalog/stock list every time they need to request or add an item, even for materials they use on nearly every job. For businesses with large catalogs (thousands of items) and high Field Request volume, this adds friction and slows techs down in the field. Requested behavior: Allow technicians (or admins, on their behalf) to mark individual materials as "Favorites." Surface a dedicated "Favorites" tab or quick-access section at the top of the material search/selection screen (mobile and web) when creating a Field Request or adding items to a job. Favorites could be personal (per technician) or standardized by admins for the whole team, depending on account preference. Why this matters: Reduces time spent searching for commonly used materials, especially for teams with large catalogs and high request volume. Reduces the risk of selecting the wrong item when scrolling long lists under time pressure in the field. Complements existing tools like Tags and filters, but offers a faster, more intuitive shortcut for the items technicians reach for daily.

Add supplier to Punchout
Can you add East Coast Metal Distributors to ply punchout? ecmdi.com
#311#Improvement 👍 - 1
Auto-sync Returns from Ply to ServiceTitan
Currently, Returns created in Ply are tracked internally only, no notification is sent to the supplier and no corresponding record is created in ServiceTitan. Customers using the ServiceTitan integration have to manually recreate returns on the ServiceTitan side, creating duplicate work and increasing the risk of inventory/accounting mismatches between systems. Requested behavior: When a Return is created and confirmed in Ply for a PO that was originally synced to ServiceTitan, Ply should automatically create the corresponding return record in ServiceTitan (mirroring how PO auto-sync already works today).
#310#Improvement 👍#Integrations 🔗 - 1
Improve Unit of Measure (UoM) editing workflow and visibility
Currently, when a user wants to edit the default Unit of Measure on an item, they cannot do so from the same screen where they manage the Alternate UoM. This forces users through a multi-step, disjointed process: edit the item to adjust the Alt UoM, then navigate elsewhere to add/edit the Alt UoM itself. What should be a simple edit ends up requiring multiple steps across different screens. Additionally, there's a lack of visibility into how an item is purchased vs. how it's sold. For example, a client purchases an item by the Case (e.g., 1 Case = 100 EA) but sells it by the Each. The current setup requires the person creating a Purchase Order to already know this conversion rather than having it clearly displayed on the item itself. Suggested improvement: Allow editing of the default UoM and Alt UoM from the same screen/modal. Add clearer visual indicators on the item page showing the purchase unit (e.g., Case of 100) alongside the sell unit (e.g., Each), so this relationship is obvious without prior knowledge.
#309#Feature Request - 1
Show Pending PO indicator for all items in Stock Inventory (not just Low Stock)
Currently, the Pending PO indicator (showing active POs that include a given item) only displays on the Low Stock view. Customer is requesting this same indicator be shown for all materials in regular Stock Inventory, regardless of stock level, whenever that material has a pending PO. Without visibility into pending POs outside of that view, there's a risk of placing duplicate orders for materials that already have a PO in flight. Surfacing this indicator across all stock levels would let users check before reordering, preventing double orders.

Ability to add NFC tags to tools.
Currently, NFC tags can only be assigned to materials when scanning the tag.
#306#Feature Request - 1
Bring "Select Supplier's Contact Email" Multi-Select to Preferred Supplier / Email PO Flow (Parity Request)
This capability already exists in Ply today under Choose Supplier. When a supplier is selected manually, Ply shows a "Select supplier's contact email" field; a searchable, multi-select tag input pulling directly from that supplier's saved Contact Information Gap: This same field does not appear when a PO is created via Apply Preferred Supplier (supplier is auto-assigned, so this step is skipped), nor does it appear later in the standalone Email PO send modal (used to send/re-send any draft PO); that modal only has a single free-text email field with no dropdown, no autocomplete, no multi-select. Requested enhancement: Extend the existing "Select supplier's contact email" multi-select component to: Appear in the Apply Preferred Supplier flow (once the supplier is auto-assigned), and/or Appear in the Email PO send modal itself; so it applies universally regardless of how the PO's supplier was set. This would let users search by name and select multiple saved contacts to send to at once, instead of manually looking up, copying, and pasting each email individually. Immediate workaround for the customer (no engineering work needed)

ServiceTitan PO Sync: Business Unit Selection at PO Creation
When auto-sync to ServiceTitan is enabled, customers can only set one default Business Unit, which doesn't work for companies that route POs to multiple BUs (e.g. Cardinal, HL, C&D). Current workaround is to turn off auto-sync and manually select the BU each time. Request: Add a dynamic Business Unit selection field at the time of PO creation, visible only when the customer is linked to ServiceTitan. When auto-sync is enabled and the PO is reconciled, it should auto-send to the selected BU. Confirmed by Darion, Anabel, and Andrii as the right approach.
#242#Feature Request - 3
Carry Over Quantities When Creating a PO Directly from a Job
When creating a Purchase Order directly from a job in Ply, the materials are carried over correctly, but the quantities are not; they default to blank or zero, requiring the user to manually re-enter each quantity. Expected Behavior: The quantities assigned to each material on the job should automatically carry over to the corresponding line items when a PO is created from that job; mirroring the same logic already applied to materials. Why This Matters: This gap adds unnecessary manual work, especially for teams managing jobs with multiple line items. Having quantities auto-populate would significantly speed up the PO creation workflow and reduce the risk of ordering errors.
#220#Improvement 👍#Feature Request - 1
Manual Force Sync for POs between Ply and ServiceTitan
Customer is requesting the ability to manually trigger a sync for Purchase Orders between Ply and ServiceTitan, rather than waiting for the automatic background sync which can take up to 15-20 minutes.

Edit a Category i think speaks for itself! We are in the electrical world and some of our products are abbreviated eg: In wire and cable category we have a sub category of "SOOW" (type of cable) we have to enter "S O O W" to stop it auto correcting to "Soow"

Request for Purchase Form for Items Not In Catalog
It would be very helpful to have a way for techs to submit a request for a product(s) that does not exist in the catalog with information about the preferred vendor, url for products, etc. that would mitigate the need for external request forms and allow for complete transparency and easy sourcing.

Report For Combined Total Inventory Value Across All Stock Locations
I’m requesting a report in Ply that shows total inventory value across all stock locations, with support for both current inventory value and historical value by date. Right now, inventory valuation reporting is limited to one stock location at a time. To get an “all locations” total, I have to either manually add each location’s total business cost, or export each location’s report to Excel, combine the files, and sum the totals - which is time-consuming and increases the risk of errors. What I’d like to see: A report (or filter option) to aggregate all stock locations into a single total Ability to select a specific date to view the total inventory value as of that date (historical snapshot) A clear Total Business Cost value at the workspace level (all locations combined) Optional export (Excel/CSV) of the aggregated total This would make inventory valuation much faster for accounting, month-end close, and audits.

When searching in a warehouse estimate and selecting material i can not see a price for all material added together.
I would like to see the prices for all the material i select with a total. This would be great when doing estimates. Example: As a tech in the field i need to get all my material list priced before job is sold. On every job we give 3 options so we have 3 different material list for our options. Once we get our material and hours we can price the estimate. As of right now the tech can make a field request but cant see any pricing so the plat form is useless to us if we cant see pricing.(We can see the price of one material item at a time) A bonus feature would to be able to save material list so if estimate is approve we could reorder of a click of a button. How we do this now on another website is we select all the material to our shopping cart write down the total. Then do this 2 more times to get a total of 3 options. Now we have a material pricing and we add it to our time to the job to give the price for our job. once an option is sold we can order material.

Zapier - Field Requests event option
We use Trello as the warehouse’s single source of truth. All jobs, deliveries, replenishments, and material requests are submitted to the board, and the team uses it to see and complete the work for each day. Now we have that + Field Requests to monitor. If we can have Field Requests as an event option, I can create a zap in Zapier to add Field Request to my Trello board, increasing visibility for my team and ensuring nothing gets missed.

Show source truck/location on Purchase Order card view (Rolling Replenishment)
When Rolling Replenishment generates a Purchase Order, the PO card view does not display which truck/location the replenishment was triggered from. Currently, this truck/location detail is only visible in the picklist name (per existing Rolling Replenishment behavior), not in the PO card view itself. Customer manages rolling replenishment across multiple locations/trucks and needs to quickly identify which truck each PO relates to when reviewing multiple POs in the card view. Without this, they have to open each PO individually to confirm its source, which is slowing down their replenishment management workflow. Requested behavior: Display the originating truck/location name directly on the PO card view for POs generated via Rolling Replenishment (similar to how it's already surfaced in the picklist naming convention).

Add 'Profile' option in mobile view
When a technician attempts to add their phone number from mobile to use the AI Field Request feature, there is no option to do so. This can only be done from the web version.
#245#Feature Request - 8
Add 'Current' Job Visibility Option for Technicians in Ply
The client is requesting a new visibility mode option that would: Show a tech only their active/current job (mirroring the "Current" ServiceTitan view) Keep the job visible through job completion (so techs can log parts) Not hide the job once the scheduled time passes (the current "Next" behavior removes jobs at their scheduled time, which breaks the parts-logging workflow) The existing options (All, Week, Day, Next) don't meet this need — "Day" had inconsistent visibility, and "Next" removes jobs too early.

Jobs - Add Supplier name to PO list view within Jobs
Requesting that the Supplier name be displayed in the PO list tied to each job. Currently, when viewing a job and its associated POs, there is no supplier column visible, making it harder to quickly identify which PO belongs to which supplier.

Add Consumables to Field Request funciton
We are utilizing the Field Requests function to place material restock or orders for our construction side of our plumbing business. I do not want to convert these into materials as these are non-sellable items that we use to get the job done. Things like glove refill, mc tank refills, replenish for solder, are crucial things for us to make sure our techs keep on the job site and keep working.

Add Filter for “Special Order Item”
Summary We frequently create Non‑Stock miscellaneous items in PLY and mark them using the “Special Order Item” toggle. However, there is currently no way to filter or search for items that have this toggle enabled. As a result, locating these items requires manually scrolling through the entire catalog, which can contain 4,000+ items, making it extremely time‑consuming and prone to missed items. Requested Enhancement Add a Filter option within the PLY Material/Item list that allows users to filter specifically by items that have the “Special Order Item” toggle selected/activated. Why This Matters Prevents errors: If the toggle is turned on accidentally, there is currently no efficient way to identify and correct it. Saves significant time: Instead of manually reviewing thousands of items, users could instantly isolate Special Order items. Improves catalog management: Makes it easier to audit, adjust, or remove the Special Order designation at any time. Supports purchasing and warehouse workflows: Provides clear visibility into which items are treated as Special Orders.

Scan ability to add items to a PO, like a shopping cart through the warehouse
With a vendor managed inventory, depending on the relationship to the company, a inventory specialist could scan items as he pulled them and loaded them in to bins and create a PO in Ply when he is finished, this would take labor away from the limited manpower of smaller VMI's and increase productivity, streamline parts pulling and reduce redundancies in ordering.
#59#Improvement 👍#Feature Request - 48
MULTIPLE - PO Number Formats
This setting lets you define a custom purchase order number format for your business, but currently, it supports only one option. I believe this is a valuable feature that can help warehouses streamline the receiving process and improve organization. If we had the ability to create multiple prefixes, it would be even more effective. Prefix used is an Action taken, example: Stock = tells the warehouse to put away on a shelf Truck = Items are technician supplies Job = Items were for job-specific needs
